Sri Lanka’s President Ranil Wickremesinghe has met newly-appointed British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP27 in Egypt, it is reported.
According to the President’s Media Division (PMD) prior to this meeting, President Wickremesinghe held discussions with the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate and Environment, Head of the delegation from the Republic of Korea, Na Kyung-Won.
The PMD further said that President Ranil Wickremesinghe also held a bilateral discussion with the President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor on the sidelines of COP27.
COP27 opened on Sunday (06) with the key aim of ensuring full implementation of the Paris Agreement. (NewsWire)
