The captain of the Sri Lanka Women’s Rugby Team Dulani Pallikondage has reportedly gone missing in South Korea.

According to the Daily News, Dulani Pallikondage is reported to have gone missing after the Asia Rugby Sevens Series second leg, which concluded in Incheon, South Korea yesterday.

Stating that she was last seen during the third-place match between the Sri Lanka Men’s team and the Philippines, sources from the Sri Lanka Team said that she was reported missing thereafter.

Sri Lanka Women’s Team Manager Dr. Samantha Nanayakkara is said to have made several unsuccessful attempts to contact Dulani.

Several Sri Lankan athletes were reported missing this year, commencing with the Commonwealth Games in London.

Ten members of Sri Lanka’s Commonwealth Games contingent in Birmingham were reported missing in August. The group consisted of nine athletes and a manager.

Dulani Pallikondage, who is a member of the Sri Lanka Army Rugby Team, is the latest Sri Lankan athlete to go missing during an international sports event. (NewsWire)
