President Ranil Wickremesinghe presented the Budget 2023 in Parliament yesterday (14).
The government has taken 12 measures to improve tax administration, including an electronic tax filing system and a tax audit and verification programme.
As proposed in the Budget 2023, the government expects to continue its efforts to digitalize the tax system in Sri Lanka.
Several amendments are also to be introduced to the Inland Revenue Act, No 24 of 2017. (NewsWire)
