Two members of an organized crimes gang have been shot dead during a special sting operation in Minuwangoda.
The Police said the suspects had been killed in a shoot-out with Police Special Task Force (STF) personnel in the Polwatte area in Minuwangoda.
The deceased have been identified as accomplices of organized crimes gangster Uragaha Indika, who is currently in hiding overseas.
The Police revealed that the two suspects were wanted over several crimes, including a number of murders.
Meanwhile, one STF Personnel is reported to have been injured in the shoot-out. (NewsWire)
