“Mrs. Sri Lanka” title winner, Rasangi Chamika has accused the organisers of the “Mrs Grand International – 2022” competition of having solicited a sexual bribe.

According to Daily News, speaking to the media yesterday (21), Rasangi Chamika said the incident had occurred when she had participated in the competition that was held in Myanmar recently.

Revealing details of the incident, she said that one of the event’s organizer had contacted her over the phone and had solicited a sexual bribe, adding that he had invited her to visit his home to smoke cannabis.

Rasangi Chamika said as she had informed that she would visit with a friend, the organizer had cut off the facilities offered to her and had brought disrepute to Sri Lanka at the event.

She further released an audio recording supporting her story, stating that she was in possession of many such tapes.

“After this incident, the organizers informed me that I would not be able to participate in the final due to non-payment of the money related to the competition. My husband in America sent dollars as the Sri Lanka Central Bank regulations prevent my relatives in Sri Lanka from sending money. However, by that time, I had been directed to the last row by the organizers of the competition and could not be seen on the stage because there was a taller Indian woman in front of me.” Rasangi Chamika revealed.

Her lawyer, Sadaruwan Senanayake has informed that legal action will be taken regarding the demand for a sexual bribe from his client. (NewsWire)
