The Convenor of the Inter-University Bhikkhus’ Federation (IUBF) Ven. Galwewa Siridhamma Thero who was released from detention today has been remanded once again by the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court.
The Court ordered him to be remanded until 6th December over his involvement in a protest near the Education Ministry in July.
Earlier today, Ven. Galwewa Siridhamma Thero who was detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) was granted bail by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
The Court released him from the case filed over his participation in a protest in Colombo.
Ven. Galwewa Siridhamma Thero was detained under the PTA along with Inter-University Student’s Federation (IUSF) Convenor Wasantha Mudalige.
He was detained for nearly 90 days prior to being granted bail by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court. (NewsWire)
