The defending champions became the first team to progress to the last 16 after snatching victory over Denmark on Saturday, with Brazil and Portugal joining them 48 hours later, leaving 13 spots up for grabs in the battle for football’s most famous trophy.
Qatar are not the only team to exit the tournament after just two games, with heavily-hyped Canada also crashing out after being dismantled by 2018 finalists Croatia on Sunday to leave them rooted to the bottom of Group F. (Eurosport)
