A 35-year-old man has died after being attacked with an iron rod in the Sebastian Muni Mawatha area in Norochcholai last night (25).
The Police said that the deceased has been identified as a 35-year-old resident of the Mampuri area.
Investigations have revealed that the victim and another individual had been intoxicated, and the latter had attacked him with an iron road near a crossroad on Sebastian Muni Mawatha.
The Police said preliminary investigations reveal that the attack had taken place due to a personal dispute between the two individuals.
A 54-year-old man from Sebastian Muni Mawatha has been arrested over the murder. The suspect will be produced before the Puttalam Magistrate’s Court today (26). (NewsWire)
