A 07-year-old girl has died in a road accident involving a three-wheeler and a bus in the Ampitiya area along the Kahataroopa – Badulla Road last evening.
The Police said a bus travelling from Kahataroopa to Badulla had collided head-on with a three-wheeler travelling in the opposite direction.
The child and three others who had been travelling in the three-wheeler had sustained injuries in the incident and were admitted to the Kendagolla Hospital.
The child who was in a serious condition was transferred to the Badulla Hospital and died while receiving treatment.
The victim is a 07-year-old girl and resident of Muthumala, Kendagolla. The driver of the bus has been arrested, while the Kahataroopa Police is conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
