The Sri Lanka Police has provided new equipment to officers of the Police Traffic Unit to detect people driving under the influence of alcohol.
The new equipment has been provided with the aim to reduce motor accidents caused by drunk drivers, which has seen a significant increase in the recent past.
Police officers engaged in traffic duty have launched the programme to detect drunk drivers using the newly received equipment. (NewsWire)
