The magisterial inquiry into the death of businessman Dinesh Schaffter was held as an in-camera procedure yesterday.
The court had decided to conduct the inquiry in-camera based on a request made by the family members of Schaffter.
According to reports, the wife of Schaffter and an employee of his had given evidence yesterday.
The procedure was held before Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya at the Magistrate’s chamber.
The next magisterial inquiry has been fixed for Tuesday, the 10th of January 2023.
51-year-old Schaffter was found inside his car at the Borella Cemetery on 15th December 2022 bound by zip ties and seriously injured.
Dinesh Schaffter, however, passed away due to a cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at the Colombo National Hospital. (NewsWire)
