Adarshani Karandana who accused the President’s former advisor Prof. Ashu Marasinghe of bestiality has been arrested by the Police Computer Crimes Division.
Together with former Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra, Adharshani Karandana had accused Prof. Marasinghe of sexually abusing her pet dog.
The two women made the allegations by disclosing a video of the said incident during a media briefing held on 23rd December 2022.
At the time of making the accusation, Adarshani Karandana revealed that she was Prof Marasinghe’s ex-lover.
Following the accusations, Prof. Ashu Marasinghe filed a complaint with the Police stating that the video was doctored.
Prof. Ashu Marasinghe also sent Letters of Demand (LOD) to Hirunika Premachandra and Adharshani Karadana over the said allegations. (NewsWire)
