Cricket Australia has called off Australia’s men’s ODI series against Afghanistan that was to be held in the United Arab Emirates in March.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Cricket Australia announced that the series between Australia and Afghanistan will not go ahead.
The Australian cricket administration further stated that the board will continue to engage with the Afghanistan Cricket Board in anticipation of improved conditions for women and girls in Afghanistan.
The decision comes after recent announcements from the Taliban restricting the freedoms of women and girls in Afghanistan. (NewsWire)
