A businessman has been injured in a shooting reported in the Kumbuka area in Horana early this morning (16).
The Police stated that the shooting is reported to have taken place between 1.00 to 2.00 am today.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that a group travelling on a motorcycle had followed a car that was travelling from Pokunuvita to Colombo.
The Police stated that the suspects had stopped the car near the Kumbukka area in Horana and had shot the driver of the vehicle.
The victim has been identified as a 36-year-old resident of Keselwatte in Panadura and is reportedly a businessman.
The injured businessman has been admitted to the Horana Base Hospital, while the Moragahahena Police is conducting investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
