An Assistant Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) of the Kalutara Teaching Hospital has been reported missing, the Kalutara South Police reported.
According to Mawbima, the doctor reported missing has been identified as L.C. Jayasinghe.
The Kalutara South Police stated an investigation was launched into the disappearance based on a complaint filed by the wife of the missing doctor.
The Police further stated that the vehicle used by the doctor was found abandoned near a bridge on Saturday (14).
A search operation has been launched on the Kaluganga using two boats to inspect if the doctor had fallen into the river or not.
