The overseas travel ban that was imposed on former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal has been further extended.
The Colombo Additional Magistrate’s Court today extended the travel ban imposed on Cabraal until 16th February 2023.
The court issued the order after taking up for consideration a private plaint that was filed by the former Governor of the Southern and Central Provinces, Rajith Keerthi Thennakoon.
A private plaint was filed against Cabraal, accusing him of allegedly misusing state funds during his tenure as the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka from 2006 to 2015. (NewsWire)
