A total of 47,353 tourist arrivals have been reported in Sri Lanka so far for the year 2023, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) stated.
The group of tourists are reported to have arrived between the 1st – 15th of January 2023.
The SLTDA stated that the highest number of tourist arrivals, which is 12,064, were arrivals from Russia.
5,838 tourist arrivals were reported from India, 3,945 from Germany, 3,862 from the United Kingdom, and 2,241 from France during this period.
The SLTDA further said that it expects to attract 105,000 tourists for the month of January. (NewsWire)
