The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has taken a unanimous decision to expedite the proposed electricity tariff.
Chairman of the PUCSL Janaka Ratnayake said that the proposed electricity tariff by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) will be implemented in accordance with the Electricity Act of 2009.
He further said that the PUCSL will also seek legal opinion on the implementation of the Cabinet request on an interim tariff with retrospective effect. (NewsWire)
