An individual has been arrested after the Sri Lanka Police busted a lottery ticket scam in Kurunegala in which over 200 fake tickets had been sold.
The Kurunegala Police had conducted a raid yesterday based on a tip-off, leading to the apprehension of the suspect.
The Police stated that 232 fake lottery tickets had also been seized following the raid.
The suspect, who is a 26-year-old resident of Vallachchenai, will be produced before the Kurunegala Magistrate’s Court. (NewsWire)
