A special programme will be launched in March 2023 to promote Sri Lanka as a conference destination, Minister of Tourism Harin Fernando said.
Speaking to reporters at the unveiling of the Sri Lanka MICE Expo 2023, Minister Harin Fernando said that an Expo will be held for this purpose.
Stating that Sri Lanka will not only be promoted for foreign tourism, he added that the country will also be promoted as a location for conferences running for 5 to 6 days.
Minister Fernando stated via this Sri Lanka will be able to bring in foreign nationals in large groups will which help mitigate the country’s forex crisis.
He added that he expects Sri Lanka to become stabilized by 2024 if the current measures are followed through properly. (NewsWire)
