Nearly 12,000 affidavits have been presented to the Attorney General today by people who had participated in the ‘Aragalaya’ people’s movement.
The affidavits were handed over against the unlawful detention of Inter-University Students Federation (IUSF) convenor Wasantha Mudalige under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).
Those who have signed the affidavit have questioned why Wasantha Mudalige is being continually detained over the anti-government protests in 2022 while no action was taken against thousands of people who had participated in the Aragalaya. (NewsWire)
