A Sri Lankan journalist attached to a private local media channel has died in a train accident in Dehiwala yesterday (30).
Nitsingham Nibojan, who is the area correspondent for Killinochchi, is reported to have died after falling off the train plying from Matara to Colombo.
The accident had taken place close to the Dehiwala Railway station at around 5.30 pm yesterday.
The victim, who is a father of one, had highlighted the issues of the people of Killinochchi during his stint with the private local media channel. (NewsWire)
