The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is not bound to honour any agreements made by the incumbent government led by a President who does not have the mandate of the people, SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa claimed.
Addressing a public rally, MP Sajith Premadasa said it was necessary to sign an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
“The agreements must be straightforward. Only such agreements will benefit the nation,” he opined.
MP Premadasa alleged that, however, the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and Ranil Wickremesinghe-led government are doing everything to please the IMF, and are agreeing to any conditions.
The SJB leader stated that his party is not bound to honour any agreement signed with a government led by a President who does not have the mandate of the citizens of the nation. (NewsWire)
