The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has announced the relaunch of its online payment gateway which was temporarily shut down due to a security compromise.
Issuing a statement, the CEB stated that the matter had been resolved with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT).
The CEB revealed that the already-in-place internal reconciliation mechanism with partnering banks had prevented any financial losses to the CEB due to this incident.
Assuring that the system has been relaunched with additional security measures, the CEB requested consumers to rejoin the CEB online payment system. (NewsWire)
