Social media activist Dharshana Handungoda says he is yet to be intimidated despite being arrested for comments he made near the Temple Trees during an anti-government protest in May 2022.
Handungoda was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) upon his arrival at the Katynayake Airport early today. However, he was granted bail by the Fort Magistrate’s Court today.
Speaking to reporters, Handungoda said that he had been arrested over comments he had made during a show conducted in front of the Temple Trees gate on 09th May 2022.
Stating that he has faith in the country’s Judiciary, the social media activist said it was proven that he was innocent and hence released.
“I am yet to be frightened by such incidents. I will respond the day I am frightened,” he added. (NewsWire)
