A Samagi Jana Balawegaya- led government will impose the death penalty for those engaging in terrorism-related activities in Sri Lanka, SJB and Opposition Leader MP Sajith Premadasa stated.
Addressing a public rally, MP Premadasa said that all those involved in the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks will be brought before the law.
He further stated that this will be carried out with the assistance of international investigative organizations such as the United Kingdom’s Scotland Yard and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States.
MP Sajith Premadasa said that the death penalty will be imposed against those engaged in terrorism, whether it be the Easter attacks or the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).
He further stated that it was imperative to introduce stringent laws to address drug-related activities in the country.
MP Premadasa vowed that an SJB-led Government will introduce laws similar to those in Singapore and will destroy all drug dealers. (NewsWire)
