Gold prices have seen a significant drop in Sri Lanka, Ada Derana reported qouting local gold dealers.
The price of a 24-carat gold coin was Rs. 145,000 in Colombo- Fort this morning, while the price of a 22-carat gold coin was Rs. 134,000, local gold dealers stated.
They pointed out that the price of a 24-carat gold coin was Rs. 184,000 and a 22-carat gold coin was Rs. 170,000 earlier this month.
The highest rate for gold reported so far this year (2023) was in January and February.
The highest price reported so far this year for a 24-carat gold coin was Rs. 193,000, while Rs. 178,500 for a 22-carat gold coin. (NewsWire)
