A group of protesters earlier today (25) blocked a train running from Colombo to Batticaloa near the Swaisgama area, Batticaloa.
The group of villagers had protested saying that it was difficult to access their village due to the repair work of the railway line.
The train was stopped for about two hours, before the protest was called off by the group after paving stones on the relevant part of the railway track. (NewsWire)
