Gold prices have once again increased in Sri Lanka, according to local gold merchants.
The gold merchants stated that the price of gold has increased by Rs. 2000 today (31).
Accordingly, the price of a 22-karat sovereign has increased to Rs. 165,600 from yesterday’s rate of Rs. 163,800.
Meanwhile, the price of a 24-karat gold sovereign has increased to Rs. 180,000 from yesterday’s rate of Rs. 178,000.
Earlier in March, gold prices had significantly dropped in Sri Lanka with a 22-karat sovereign costing Rs. 134,000 and a 24-karat gold sovereign costing Rs. 145,000 on 09th march 2023. (NewsWire)
