Thalapathy Vijay’s Instagram debut turned record-breaker, thanks to the crazy fan-following the actor is carrying.
The actor opened his account on Instagram around 4 PM on April 2 and within a couple of hours, it reached 1 million followers. The account reached 1 million followers in just 99 minutes, becoming the quickest ever to reach the milestone in India.
It is also the third fastest Instagram account ever worldwide to hit 1 million followers, after BTS V (53 minutes) and Angelina Jolie (59 minutes). The actor’s account, @actorvijay has also crossed 2 million followers and currently stands at 4.2 million.
Thalapathy Vijay announced his arrival on Insta with a post that has crossed 2.6 million likes. It becomes the most-liked Kollywood celebrity post, surpassing Sivakarthikeyan’s post. Vijay’s post is also the third fastest 1 million liked photo in India, after Yash and Allu Arjun’s posts. (Sacnilk)
