Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa today raised concerns over the actions of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna, Sujeewa Amarasena.
Speaking in Parliament today, MP Premadasa stated that the Vice Chancellor of the University has implemented a new policy prohibiting male and female students from sitting together and benches at the university have been sawed off.
MP Premadasa further said as part of this policy, the use of social media has been limited on campus.
Stating that the actions of the university’s Vice Chancellor to create suppression within the university was wrong, MP Premadasa pointed out that it was a hindrance to the university students. (NewsWire)
