Independent global standard OpenSignal has released its latest report on Sri Lanka’s mobile networks, where Dialog was named as Sri Lanka’s best mobile network. The comprehensive study evaluated mobile network performance across all major operators, with Dialog winning across all 10 categories, including a joint win for 4G Availability with Airtel.
Dialog users enjoyed the best experience for mobile video streaming, multiplayer gaming, and cellular-based voice app calls (e.g WhatsApp & Viber), while also benefitting from the fastest download and upload speeds in the country. Furthermore, Dialog excelled in consistency, availability, and 4G coverage experience.
All three major operators in Sri Lanka—Dialog, Mobitel, and Airtel—showcased improvements in network connectivity and speed.
Dialog users saw the most significant download speed increase at 38.9%, followed by Airtel at 32.6%. Hutch and Mobitel users experienced lower improvements of 18.4% and 11% respectively. With an average speed of 11.8 Mbps, Dialog secured a 10.8% lead over former winner Mobitel for the Download Speed Experience award.
