The National Election Commission has decided to once again postpone the Local Government Election which was scheduled to be held on April 25.
Issuing a statement, the Commission stated that it has decided to postpone the election due to various reasons, including the lack of funds.
The Commission further stated that the new date for the Local Government Election will be decided either upon receiving the necessary funds or once the Supreme Court issues its verdict on the case pertaining to the holding of the election.
The Election Commission added that the District Returning Officers will take the necessary measures to hold the election after consulting the Commission based on either one of the above occurrences. (NewsWire)
