Machines and software that have been trained to think and act like humans are referred to as artificial intelligence (AI) systems. The world of modern technology today is significantly impacted by AI.

Saudi citizens have a high level of confidence in using artificial intelligence products and services in the Kingdom, according to a survey by the University of Stanford USA’s Artificial Intelligence Index Report, which was just released in its sixth edition (AIIR 2023) this month.

Policymakers, academics, and business experts can use this report as a comprehensive resource to learn more about the state of artificial intelligence now and it’s potential in the future. According to the survey, the Kingdom came in second place behind China in the world for residents’ optimism and positivity toward artificial intelligence products and services offered in both the present and the future stages.

Speaking at the 2019 G20 Summit in Osaka, Crown Prince and Prime Minister HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman said: “We are in an era of scientific advancements, ground-breaking technology, and limitless growth potential. When properly applied, emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things can prevent many negative effects and provide enormous benefits for everyone “.

The prince’s speech that day not only demonstrated the Saudi government’s interest in technology and the use of artificial intelligence, but it also paved the way for improved usage and execution of these concepts in the Kingdom at the present time.
