Police said that the body of the 3-year-old child who went missing in Neluwa area last evening (15) was recovered from a nearby stream.
The child was missing since Saturday evening when he came to his father’s hometown with his father. The last time he was seen by a group of people wearing a pair of shorts and holding a bottle, on the roadside in-front of the house.
The Police together with hundreds of area residents launched a search operation since the child was reported missing, but could not find any clue.
Later, it was suspected that someone might have kidnapped the child. Even after checking the stream near the house till midnight yesterday, no information was received. However the body of the child was found in the stream today (16) (NewsWire)
