Three school teachers have been arrested on suspicion of having allegedly assaulted a 19-year-old student in the Kekirihena area in Maha Oya.
The Police stated that the mother of the child had filed a complaint in this regard stating that the child has been hospitalised following the assault.
Investigations launched by the Maha Oya Police have led to the arrest of three teachers of the student’s school.
The arrested teachers are aged 34, 37, and 43 years and are residents of Padiyathalaw in Maha Oya.
The Police stated that the suspects will be produced before the Dehiyaththakandiya Magistrate’s Court today. (NewsWire)
