The Ministry of Power and Energy has completed an online negotiation meeting with United Petroleum, Australia with regard to entering Sri Lanka’s fuel retail market, subject minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.
Taking to Twitter, Minister Wijesekera said that the negotiation meeting held today focussed on fuel sales agreements, Government policy, logistics, and the timeline for the commencement of operations in Sri Lanka.
He further stated that United Petroleum will communicate the dates of commencement during the next week.
Officials of the Ministry Of Power & Energy, Ministry of Finance, Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), Board of Investment (BOI), Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) & Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) participated in the discussion. (NewsWire)
