A suspect wanted over the robbery of cash and gold items worth more than Rs. 10 million from a businessman’s house in Kynsey Road, Colombo has been arrested after a period of five months.
The Police stated that the suspect was arrested by officers of the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) and has been identified as ‘Kabara Suresh’ who has more than 30 charges related to housebreaking and theft against him.
According to Daily News, investigations have revealed that the 46-year-old suspect is a resident of Kalinga Mawatha in Kirulapone and is addicted to drugs.
The Police apprehended the suspect yesterday for the possession of 3.807 grams of heroin.
Even though the suspect has been arrested, the Police are yet to recover the stolen gold items and cash. (NewsWire)
