The Parliament session was adjourned for 10 minutes today due to a tense situation during the debate over the MV X-Press Pearl ship disaster.
Parliament was adjourned after a heated exchange of words took place between Justice Minister WIjeyadasa Rajapakshe and MP Thushara Indunil over the matter.
Temporarily adjourning Parliament, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena also called for an urgent Party Leaders meeting.
