Police are on the lookout for a 22-year-old woman who has been missing for days in Elpitiya, Gampola.
The missing woman has been identified as Fathima Munawwara, a resident of Weligalla, Elpitiya in the Gampola area.
The Police stated she was reported missing on Sunday morning and was last seen looking for a bus close to her house while on her way to work.
Investigations have revealed that she was employed at a pharmacy in the Weligalla area.
The Gampola Police has launched a search operation with the assistance of area residents and monitoring CCTV footage obtained from the Elpitiya Mosque.
The Police said that even though CCTV footage shows the girl walking towards Weligalla Town, there are no traces of her thereafter. (NewsWire)
