The Mount Lavinia Police have recovered 08 stolen mobile phones following the arrest of an individual for the possession of heroin.
Officials from the Mount Lavinia Criminal Investigations Department apprehended a man for the possession of 12.200 grams of heroin on Tuesday (May 30).
Further investigations led to the discovery of 08 mobile phones, which the suspect is reported to have stolen from the public travelling in buses or pedestrians.
The Police stated that the suspect has been identified as a resident of Badowita in Mount Lavinia.
