A 24-year-old woman has been arrested by the Vavuniya Crimes Division for allegedly stealing the debit card of a woman who had returned from abroad and using the card to purchase gold jewellery.
Police said that the suspect, a resident of Kilinochchi has stolen the card from the said woman, when she had visited her relative’s in Kurumankaadu area in Vavuniya.
Police have recovered several gold jewellery, including 2 bangles, 1 chain and 2 earrings and a receipt of pawning several items in the possession of the suspect (NewsWire)
