Around 5400 special guards have been provided for certain individuals who are not ministers or parliamentarians, Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles revealed.
Speaking in Parliament today, Minister Tiran Alles stated that he has called for a report in this regard.
He further stated that the matter will be reviewed, after which the special guards will either be removed or reduced based on the service requirement.
The Minister made the remarks in response to a question raised by opposition MP Ajith Mannapperuma in this regard. (NewsWire)
