Showers are expected in several parts of Sri Lanka today, the Department of Meteorology stated.
Several spells of showers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
A few showers will occur in the Northwestern province. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening or night.
Fairly strong winds of about 40-45 kmph can be expected at times in the Western slopes of the central hills, North-central province and in Puttalam, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts. (NewsWire)
