Three suspects have been apprehended over the robbery of a motor car from a house in the Embillawatte area in Boralesgamuwa on June 26.
The Police stated that the suspects had stolen a Wagon R car that was parked in the garage of the house.
Police investigations into a complaint filed on the robbery led to the arrest of one suspect in Homagama yesterday.
Interrogations had led to the arrest of another man and a woman, also in Homagama, for aiding the robbery.
The Police stated that the stolen vehicle was also found in their possession at the time of the arrest.
The arrested men are aged 31 and 34 years and are residents of the Homagama and Horana areas, while the woman is a 25-year-old resident of Udupussellawa.
The suspects will be produced before the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court today. (NewsWire)
