The prevailing showery condition over the South Western parts of Sri Lanka is expected to be temporarily enhanced during the next few days, the Department of Meteorology stated.
Thereby, showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Northern provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts today.
Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely in some places. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Uva province and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening or night.
Fairly strong winds of about 40-45 kmph can be expected at times in the Western slopes of the central hills, North-central province and in the Puttalam, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts. (NewsWire)
