Two young men have been injured in a shooting reported in the Kuchchaveli area in Trincomalee today.
According to the Kuchchaveli Police, a person hidden in a forest area near a saltern had opened fire at the two youths who were travelling on a motorcycle from Kuchchaveli to Errakandy.
The Police stated that the two youths aged 17 and 21 years had sustained injuries to their legs and had been admitted to the Trincomalee Hospital.
The Police added that the identity of the suspect/s is yet to be ascertained. (NewsWire)
