The Mirihana Crimes Investigation Special Unit has initiated an investigation aimed at apprehending the owner of a private company, accused of defrauding over Rs 19.2 million by falsely promising to construct houses.
According to the police, 14 individuals have filed complaints with the Mirihana Special Investigations Unit, alleging that the suspect deceived them into providing funds amounting to Rs 19,215,000, under the pretense of granting them housing through credit facilities and construction services.
In an effort to locate the suspect, the Police have released a photograph of the individual and are seeking assistance from the public.
