Over 150,000 Sri Lankans have left for overseas jobs so far this year, it was reported.
Deputy General Manager of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) Gamini Senarath Yapa stated that most from the group have travelled to the Middle East.
Gamini Senarath Yapa stated that it is expected that over 300,000 Sri Lankans will leave for overseas jobs by the end of this year.
He further stated that the statistics at the SLBFE consist of only registered Sri Lankans travelling for foreign employment. (NewsWire)
