The Sri Lankan debate team will depart for Vietnam next week (July 16) to participate in the World Schools Debating Championship 2023.
The team is captained by Chanidu Ratnayake and consists of Afrah Athahurahman, Ashwin Laksumanage, Sanithma Jayasooriya, Thithira Jayakody, and Ammar Zaffarullah (Reserve).
The Coaching Team consists of Head Coach Viren Beruwalage and Assistant Coaches Janul De Silva and Humaid Saleem.
The Sri Lankan team won its final competition last weekend before the World Championships.
The team has been unbeaten throughout the competition, beating Singapore twice, South Africa in the Semifinals and the Philippines in the final. (NewsWire)
